My Journey, My Mission
My name is Luther Archimède, and I’m a professional footballer, a striker chasing goals, and a guy who’s still writing his story.
The Dream Starts in Guadeloupe
I started playing football at age 3, kicking the ball around in Guadeloupe, my small Caribbean island. I would spend hours impersonating my idols—Ronaldo, Thierry Henry, Trezeguet, Drogba, Eto’o—dreaming of one day playing professionally.
At 14 years old, I left home and flew to France alone to chase that dream. I landed in Montpellier, playing for Castelnau U16 Regional, then moved to Istres U17 National, where I performed well and eventually signed with Sochaux’s professional academy at 17.
Breaking into Professional Football
My final year at Sochaux was a breakthrough—I trained with the first team, made my pro debut against Lille, and even made the bench for two Ligue 2 games. But in the end, the club decided not to offer me a professional contract. That moment crushed me. I had spent years sacrificing everything, and suddenly, I was without a club. I questioned everything.
Coaches always told me: “Your movement is good, but you need more goals. More stats.”
I knew I had to reinvent myself, so I took a huge risk—I moved to the USA, joining Syracuse University to continue my football career.
Adapting to a New Country
Coming to the U.S. was a culture shock.
- Unlimited substitutions in college football.
- Academics & partying prioritized over football.
- New style of play & different intensity.
I struggled statistically and felt frustrated. But in my final semester, I met Tim, my roommate, who completely changed my mindset. He introduced me to: Discipline in training & recovery
Proper nutrition & hydration
Stretching, mobility, and the ‘Cristiano mentality’
That year, I felt possessed by my desire to succeed. Every game, I stepped on the field knowing: “I outworked everyone off the pitch. Now, I’ll destroy them on it.”
Getting Drafted & Becoming a Pro
In 2021, I was drafted by New York Red Bulls, a moment I was truly proud of. However, I felt like the first-team coach didn’t fully believe in me—not that he disliked me, but he had other players he valued more. That’s football. You have to accept it and stay professional.
I played 15 games with Red Bulls II, but visa issues and an injury from the 2019 Gold Cup with Guadeloupe limited my season. I showed flashes of my game but knew my stats could be better.
Proving Myself & Overcoming Setbacks
I signed with Sacramento Republic, an established team in the USL, but was used mostly as a super sub. It was frustrating—you want to start, but you do your job. In 10-20 minutes per game, I gave it everything. My goal-per-minute ratio was solid, but I wanted more.
After two years, I signed with a smaller team to prove I was more than just a substitute—I wanted to be the main striker, scoring 10+ goals per season.
But football is unpredictable. The playing style was difficult.
I tore my ACL and LCL.
Suddenly, I was sidelined—another setback in my journey.
Where I Am Now – The Journey Continues
I’m now in year 5 as a pro, and while I haven’t yet made my mark the way I want, I’m still hungry. I know my journey isn’t finished.
That’s why I created Striker’s Blueprint—not just for me, but for anyone trying to become a better footballer. I want to: Share my experiences—the highs, the struggles, the lessons.
Give tactical insights—how to move, how to finish, how to dominate.
Provide tips on training, nutrition, and mentality.
Analyze videos—breaking down elite strikers and learning from them.
Interview other footballers—to bring different perspectives.
I’m still chasing my dream, and if you’re chasing yours, let’s do it together.
Welcome to Striker’s Blueprint. Let’s work.
